The Model 6 is the result of many months of dedicated design and engineering excellence creating a truly remarkable integrated turntable. The critical aspect of maintaining the definitive DNA of SME has successfully been achieved coupled with traditional SME craftsmanship and the introduction of technically advanced new materials.

An improved version of the highly acclaimed SME M2-9 tonearm finished in an all new black chrome finish has been developed especially for the Model 6. סדרת ה 300 של SME כוללת 3 זרועות , דגמים 309/310/312 לפי פרמטר אורכי באינצים. רמה גבוה ביותר של בנייה כאשר כל יחידת הזרוע בנויה כמקשה אחת של מגנזיום בשיטה ייחודית. כמו כן בשיטה יחודית ל SME ניתן לנתק את ראש המגנזיום (headshell )הניצמד ללא איבוד של הקשיחות המגע.
